Hi, after searching all of the forums I couldn't found appropriate solution to my problem regarding SoftStarter 3RW44 on Profibus via it's 3RW4900-0KC00 module. The thing is, I want to control soft starter via profibus, but I still want to keep some hardware interlocks conected directly to soft starters inputs. That means, one input named "ready" or "start enable" should be present on drives input (e.g. IN1) in order to be able to start drive via profibus. That same input, if absent, should imediately start coasting down regardless of comands over profibus. Another input, if not present, should prevent "reset" (e.g. IN4). Question is, can I keep "local" input in same time with profibus control? I did found at the manual that we could use Profibus with local control, which is somewhat am looking for, but there it states "either one or the other" is permissible (SIRIUS 3RW44 manual GWA 4NEB 535 2195-02 DS 06, section 9.1.8) Please look at the attachment (it's not final, so look just at the circle area). Thanks in advance, Alen. Attachment3RW44_example.pdf (399 Downloads) |

hello,
No, current control priority is either “local” or “Profibus”. If one of them is active the other one is deactivated. regards LesPaul |
