RS232 PC/PPI cable baud rate limit

Floyd Posts: 130 Rating: (1)	Can anyone confirm the RS232 version of the PC/PPI cable will not function at 187.5kBaud? It seems we are currently stuck to using both the USB and RS232 PC/PPI cables if we want towork at 187.5kBaud on both ports of the CPU224XPand a TP177B Colorpanel with WinCCflexible. The RS232 won't recognize a CPU224xp running at 187.5kbaud and the USB version won't work with WinccFlexible and the TP177 series. (at least at the time of this post)

The DIP switches on the RS232/PPI-cable are used for RS232 communication from the PC/PPI cable to the PC. Floyd Posts: 130 Rating: (1)	Smurf: Thanks for the post. I am going to go get a demo unit and sit down here with it and figure out what we are doing wrong. Yesterday we were downloading a project with both com ports configured for 187.5 and in downloading, MicroWin said the device would not support that baud rate. In the past, i have always dropped the ports to 9.6 or 19.2 (coming from the AB DF1 world) just do be safe. I interpreted the message as the serial device wouldn't work at 187.5. Let me get some snapshots and re-post if i need to. Thanks

Not sure what was wrong the other day. Now its on to trying to get PC ACCESS to work. Dear Floyd, Sometimes it is (very) usefull to let it rest for a day.... A new day brings new inventive solutions, the other day there was not the right order or something like that. Look also to my rule: Never say never, think in solutions, not in trouble......
