Dear, all I hope all of SIEMENS Forum members are fine , I have A) ABB CPU (PM864A) with (CI854 DP interface module) as DP Master System B) CPU 315 2PN/DP as DP slave system the steps I have done is - install GSD file of SIEMENS CPU in 800XA (ABB Software) , the attached picture shows that - programming SIEMENS Sofware , with making CPU Slave the attached software shows that my questions are 1) when i tries to download software to SIEMENS CPU , the red leds of CPU is ON (SF , BF1) but CPU still in run mode , I want to solve this problem 2) I want to know if what I have done in SIMATIC Manager is enough or I have to install ABB GSD file in SIMATIC Manager ?? thanks AttachmentDP Slave.zip (449 Downloads) |

Hi ahmedmae94,
Think you have to attend are: - config the interface as slave - correct MS configuration !!!Attention the MS configuration must be the same like the ABB config On Siemens side I think your slave project is ok.
To check the failure use NCM diagnostic ("Start --> SIMATIC --> STEP 7 --> NCM")of the interface. I think this tool can help you. I'm not 100% sure if you can do this diagnostic with integrated interfaces. |

Many Many thanks Sir as for first point >> in MS Configuration Master Parameter is unactivated , so I can't change it ,this is the problem the picture in the attachment will describe this matter as for second point >> when I tried to go online with NCM , error messege displayed , also you will find it in the attachment thanks in advance AttachmentNCM_MS.zip (329 Downloads) |

Hmmm... have you checked the profibus addresses? Your STEP7 project have the DP address 2. Often the standard configuration of the DP addresses is 2. Check, that you have every address one time. Have you a Profibus adapter for your ES? If yes, you can check the PROFIBUS addresses of the stations. SIMATIC manager --> Options --> SetPG/PC interface --> PROFIBUS --> Diagnostics --> Read Bus nodes Then you can check the addresses. An other failure source can be that the profibus parameters are different. Check this. An interesting link for you: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/den13091565 The PLC is a S7-400 CPU, but it is nearly the same. Note: The NCM diagnostic is only for CPs! So you can't diagnostics the integrated interface. |

Hello, Have a look at the following links: Which master-slave combinations can you configure with regard to DP operating modes DPV0, S7-compatible and DPV1? So in my opinion, there should be no problem. Best regards, Wizard |
