sfestiva Posts: 48 Rating: (0)	Hey Lifrasil, Does that library works for both the TC65 and TC35? I found an error with the new library in the teleservice subroutine network 14 row 3 column 5. I just deleted the extra MOVEB. Thanks for the updated library!! Sincerely,

I have another question, in the original library I used the send and receive SMS and initialize subrotuine and I timed the initialization, send and receive subroutines but after few days the communication between the modem and the plc didnt work and I would see then that the modem failed to initialize. Is the new library and sample program fixed this issue? I am mroe interested in the teleservice than the SMS, but i havent tried it yet. Thanks

Mike(tm) Posts: 14 Rating: (5)	hi! this sounds new to me. In which function did you recognize that there is something wrong between PLC and Modem? The initialization? When it work once it should work everytime. Only after a power breakdown, it can be, that you have to inialize twice. the tc65 gives the "OK" after pin delivery not until the modem is connected to the gsm provider properly. If this takes too long time there will be a timeout. But next time the initialization will go thrue perfectly. so simple have a look to INIT-aborted and try it one or two more times. Anyhow, what says the Status of the block where you recognize the problem? regards Lif

That is a godo idea to initialize twice, I looked at my code and I was initializing once then sms-read, then sms-send, then initialize and so forth. I should have tried initializing twice then sms-read, send etc... Any how, I did this long time ago, but I am more interested with the teleservice. Any hints or sample program with pure teleservice only? Has anyone tried it? is it reliable? Thanks

Only once from power-off/on or restart of the cpu/modem. And if this is finished with "done". Everything is ok and you can invoke SMS sending/receiving as often as you want. If this is finished with "aborted" you have to try it up to 3 times i would say. As far as i know it IS reliable (the code), but notice: The CSD service is in principal ok, but there are many restrictions/problems caused by different modems or different providers in different countries. E.g. some states in the USA switched off the CSD service at all. You have do ensure that on your SIM card the CSD service is enabled. You have to ensure that from your Micro/WIN Station the full number is transfered to your remote station. A lot of tricky things. Did you already heard of the MD740-1 solution? http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24960449 Therefore you can use Teleservice via TCP/IP which is in my opinion more reliable. In case that this is to expensive for only one Remote Station or something like this you have to use the CSD Teleservice option. regards Lif

You are right on the CSD, supposedly telecommunication companies are no more obliged to have CSDs which is a problem for the teleservice MAS 5. The MD740 is greatttt idea! But unfortunately we need itfor theS7-200 plc :(
