PLCSIM V13 SP1 does work with Step7 Basic V13 SP1 (TIA Portal) for simulating the S7-1200 firmware version 4.x. I am not sure if PLCSIM is sold with Step7 Basic, but I can confirm that these work together. We upgraded a Step7 Basic V13 SP0 to Step7 Basic V13 SP1 and also included PLCSIM in the installation. These are working well to simulate the S7-1200. For evaluating TIA Portal V13 SP1.. |

Thank you, I saw this link before but I read as "SP1" so figured this will have the requirement of a previously purchased PLCsim. ok so now I understand (i think) that PLCsim is a free software that can be used with both Step 7 V13 SP1 basic and professional. which I i bought Step 7 V13 SP1 basic or professional it will be included in the package |

PLCSIM V1x is not included in any TIA STEP7 Package ! You can download it for free and use it with the Step7 SW independed if you have basic or professional. The only difference is that with basic only S7-1200 can be configured and programmed, for S7-300/S7-400/S7-1500 yu need Step7 Professional. |
