Ethernet Send/recieve without using "connections".

@JesperMP Posts: 54 Rating: (5)	Hi all :) I think I read somewhere that it is possible to setup Ethernet Send/Recieve via TCP in a manner that does not use up the preciously few connections recources that are available on each CPU or CP. But now I cannot find any document or FAQ about this (dont remember where I saw it). Does anyone know ? Thanks in advance for any help on this topic.

@JesperMP Posts: 54 Rating: (5)	Yes, that looks like it is the ones I could remember. Hmmm... the "T" FBs are only possible with CPUs with an integrated PN interface. I had a request from someone who has a regular 315 allready. I will try to persuade him into exchanging it for a 315-2PN/DP. Thanks.

The "T" FBs are only for PROFINET CPUs (315, 317-2 PN/DP) because you cannot project TCP (native) connections there. Using "IP_CONFIG" (FB 55) is another possibility to configure connections in runtime. Actually it is a friend of mine that has a task of connecting one PLC to 20 PCs via ethernet. The PLC is a 317 and not a 315 as I wrote before. The PLC supports 32 connections in all, but a CP343-1 only supports 16 S7 connections. And I remember reading somewhere about the possibility to transfer data without using connections resources, only I cannot remember exactly where or how. Thats why I am asking. I will look into that other FAQ, thanks again.

The CP343-1EX21 p.e.aditionally supports 16 unspecified S7 connections. So you can project 16 full specified and 4 unspecified connections if your programm makes it possible (that means if you just read/write in one direction). The other possibility is to use a second cp. kind regards
