For hardware, apart from CP243-1, what else are to be selected? Is is also possible to have a data acquisition to an excel sheet? Await your reply Regards Sreeram

The easiest way to create the solution with Excel would be to add a OPC Server. The best to pick is SIMATIC NET for IE. The following 2 FAQ's describe how to create a solution like this. If you need Networking HW I would recommend either a SCALACNE X005 or something like it to interface with your PC. From the Software point of view you need either a SIMATIC NET SOFTNET S7-Lean for industrial Ethernet or you use PC Access. Best regards J_Bell
