How I can reset or Delete the password?

arabi1982 Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	Good day I have a problem with password in TP700 comfort panel (TIA Portal Project) when I enter the wrong password, after three times i can not enter more!! I don't have the source project TIA portal, I can only make back up with prosave.. How I can reset or Delete the password? Thanks Hello, you have to reset the panel to factory settings But Pay Attention you lose the program!!! You turn off the panel and then turn on you have yet 3 time for password or not?

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 11/11/2024 Posts: 14137 Rating: (1771)	Hello arabi1982 If you do not have the Cource Project file its a little bit difficult to reset the Password configuration on your Panel. Look in your Project if you have in a screen a UserView Control. If yes you could login with a higher User like the Default Administrator (PW also Administrator per default in V13 Projects with no migration backround) then you could set the correct group again for the locked user. If you do not have a screen with this control then you could only overwrite the PDATA.pwx File in the Panel with a new one. But if you do not have the Project you cannot create a new one. Theoretical you could create a new TIA Portal Project of your Panel and edit only the User and Groups that you know. then generate the Project and use the generated pwx file to copy it to the Panel. I do not know exacly whats happening but as I Know the Runtime imports the pwx file and tries to overwrite the pwl files with the new User settings. but you could only try it. Please make a Backup before you try (safety first) Bye Murof

So it is possible to overwrite the password list on a panel? Where must the pwx file be copied? Regards, Frink
