Hello, Perhaps the following topic might help: How do you backup/restore with a Windows-based panel? Backup/Restore with ProSave It is not possible to load and edit a backup file in ProTool or WinCC flexible. The file can only be reloaded to the original or another panel via a restore with ProSave. You need the configuration Program for HMI to be able to perform the migration. |

Helo jack; A psb file is a Prosave backup file. It cannot be opened or modified , it is compiled; it only serves as a restore download for the same type of panel that it was taken from originally. See the following FAQ: How do you backup/restore with a Windows-based panel? “It is not possible to load and edit a backup file in ProTool or WinCC flexible. The file can only be reloaded to the original or another panel via a restore with ProSave.” Unfortunately the MP 377 panels are now phased-out:(https://mall.industry.siemens.com/mall/en/WW/Catalog/Products/9100155?tree=CatalogTree) So your only options (unless you plan on purchasing a new panel, probably a new programming software, and develop the application from scratch) are to have your MP 377 12" repaired or to purchase one from Siemens Spare Parts if they still have them; then you can download the psb file to this panel using ProSave. You will find contact information for Spare Parts and Repairs through the Services link at the right of this page, under the Site Explorer search box. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Jack; If you were using a MP 377, you probably also were programming your PLC with Simatic Manager (Step 7 v5.x), no? You must use WinCC Comfort v13 (TIA Portal) or more to program a KP1500 Comfort panel. Here is a link to the WinCC v14 Comfort part number (from the Simens Industry Mall): SIMATIC WinCC Comfort V14, engineering software in TIA Portal; floating license; software and documentation on DVD; license key on USB stick; class A; 6 languages: GE,EN,IT,FR,ES,ZN; executable under Windows 7 (64 bit), Windows 8.1 (64 bit), WinSrv 2008/2012 R2 (64 bit); for configuration of SIMATIC Panels You do understand that the operating panel must be completely redesigned and reprogrammed, you can no longer use the original screens, scripts and comms. Here is an application example that should give you an idea of how this could work: Combined configuration with WinCC (TIA Portal) and STEP 7 V5.x Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
