Wrong OPCCOMN_PS.dll version is registered

Hello everybody !

When I start WinCC RT the following message from Simatic OPC Server appears :

“Wrong OPCCOMN_PS.dll version is registered”.

However WinCC RT starts up and continue to operate Ok (at least it looks like Ok). All the tags are transferred between PLC and PC Station.

1. Will everything operate Ok in future without fixing the problem or not ?

2. Is it necessary to fix the problem and how ?

Which WinCC Runtime do you use? WinCC Advanced Runtime or WinCC Professional Runtime?

Which Version exactly do you use?

Do you use OPC DA or UPD UA Server?

My PC with WinCC is used as "Server - Workstation" to communicate with SMART2  PLC  (PeP Modular Computers). 

We have "Anybus X-GATEWAY" unit and correspondent software installed on PC (incl. "Anybus OPC -Server"). In WinCC Explorer the correspondent OPC-server is also configured. Both OPC servers exchange the data between them succesfully. Everything works Ok, but we have the message every time we start WinCC RT.

U R a magic man.

There were three copies of the  OPCCOMN_PS.dll  on my PC in the following folders :

C:\Windows\System32

C:\NetLinkRTM

C:\TraceMode5_Professional

Last two one are for another SCADA, installed on the PC before.

But also I have the same configuration on another PC. And when I start WinRT there, no message like that appears. May be it’s because I have newer version of TraceMode = TraceMode6.

Ok, now I want to have both SCADA system on my first PC such as WinCC and TraceMode.

Will two “strange”  OPCCOMN_PS.dll  hurt WinCC RT when it operates or not ?

Now WinCC RT operates seems Ok.

What about future ?
