How to upload a program from CPU with comments and documentation

wolves and hawks Posts: 531 Rating: (34)	On new plcs you could upload the whole project as data to the cf card. Otherwise I do think information is stripped before upload. Customers normally pay for the s7 project.

The PLC S7-300 have no Comments , Symbols ... stored in the PLC, so a Upload of this data is not possible, not with TIA and not with Step7 Classic. on the new PLC Series (S7-1200/S7-1500) the Data is stored in the PLC an can be uploaded. strikom1 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi DavidBest, With the Step7 and CPUs S7300/S7400 , you cannot upload the comments and symbol tables/names. The program is not downloaded with this information so its impossible to upload this information anyway. With TIA Portal and CPUs S7 1200/1500 , you can retrieve this information as it is downloaded and stored with the program on the CPU itself. Hope it helps Kind regards, M. Faizan K
