Watch table import/export in TIA 13

[TIA Portal V13 SP2]

Dear experts,

my client demands adding a lot of watch tables to my TIA portal project. I hate the copy-paste jobs and when I need to do such repetitive work I always prefer to use e.g. MS Excel to do it for me. 

Unfortunately I don't see any import/export functionality for Watch Tables. Is there any way to achieve that? Is that possible to find them somewhere in the project folder or something?

Of course I do parameterize my Watch Tables in Excel. I even write some of my STL programs in it ;) The thing is that I need to copy-paste the contents of each WT individually. In this project I need to create about 150 individual watch tables... Don't ask why...

TIA Portal doesn't allow to add comments to individual elements of an array. Our client demanded such comments, so we have to create a Watch Table for almost every array in our project to satisfy him. 

If there was an Import/Export functionality for Watch Table, I could do the job with Excel and just import it. Now I have to copy-paste everything.

Do a quick test.

Create a DB with absolute addresses (non-optimized).  Add an array to it.  Expand it.  Can you edit the comment section for each element?

Create a DB without absolute addresses (optimized).  Add an array to it.  Expand it.  Can you edit the comment second for each element?

Create a UDT with a single array.  Now drop in a UDT into both of your DBs.  Try again but with the UDT.array[#] expanded and see if that behaves differently.

My understanding is the latest portal version supports the capability you want, but I can't recall what was required to make it work.  Hopefully someone else does and will post.

I had a test with the latest Version of Step7 professional(V14 SP1 Upd2)

you can edit the comments of  both DB, optimized and not optimized.

You can also copy the array, and all comments of the elements are copied with it.

Also with an UDT. you can change the comments of the UDT and the changed comments are copied with it. There´s no difference between optimized and not optimized DB

When you copying to a watchtable, you need to copy only the elements. Also the comments are copied to the watchtable.

I see that in TIA Portal V14 SP2 it is possible to add comments to each element of an array. Too bad that this project was created in TIA Portal 13, and I won't risk upgrading it after it was tested. 

In TIA 13 I didn't manage to find a way to achieve the goal. I'm using an array of UDT, which also consists of some sub-arrays... Doesn't matter anyways, I already created those WTs manually. Took me a few hours of work, but it's already quite helpful for me, so let's say that this time was used, not wasted. 

If someone finds a way to somehow dig WTs out of project folder (which is probably impossible), feel free to post a solution here for future guests :) If not, let's think of the subject as closed.
