Data Logging Tags of Data Type StringChar with WINCC7

Under your second post "How are tags archived in WinCC flexible STRING?" I am using the Archiving String tags using a script. This is written for a MP277 Touch Operator Panel and I am using a MP377 to test on (don't think it matters).

Copied scipt to my project and chose a tag with data type string to implement it on. I went under events ->change value to activate script and filled in the name ofmy storage path/chosen tag. Compiles fine, downloads successfully, and creates an archive file with blank CSV file on the MP377 unit. Error comes when trying to print the actual string valuein the file using the lineprint &smarttags() function.

Any advice?

Dear CaEastday, I am not able to test this scriptmyself at the moment, since my flex 2008license isn't present at the moment. As soon as I'm able to test it, i'll get back to you.
