Hi, The Type attribute is the block type you define in SCL in the header like: FUNCTION_BLOCK "APL" . APL is the block type. You can also define an FB like-> FUNCTION_BLOCK FB5000. In the symbol table, you must define a name for FB5000. That name is also the type attribute name. On the block icon, you must fill in "@" and then the block type. @ means that this icon is generated by the OS compiler. If you have block icons without @, it will not be generated automatically. "/1" means the block icon number. You can define your own like "/APL". In this case, the block icon number you fill in at CFC in the block icon properties is APL. So, to sum up: @APL/1 should be the Type name in the block icon. Servername means the name of the faceplate files... It always starts with "PCS7" and ends with "Control". When you use "PCS7 APL Control", you must define the faceplate files as follows: @PG_APL.pdl @PG_APL_Overview.pdl @PG_APL_Limits.pdl @PG_APL_Standard.pdl @PG_APL_ViewToolbar.pdl etc. The name used in the faceplate file names does not have to be the same as the block type name. You can define another name, as long as it is the same in the block icon ServerName attribute.
