How to shrink the image

Hi

We have developed an application on a 16 GB card.

We want to copy this application to several IoT's.  We have other 16 GB cards, but apparently these cards are 100 MB smaller than the development card.

We are not able to copy the image to the new 16 GB cards.

Is it possible to slightly shrink the development image, either in Linux or either shrinking the .wic file?

First of all, I did not try it.

Most of the time, you can base your research on the Intel Galileo gen. 2.

I did a little google research and found this link.

Assuming that SD card is mounted under /media/sdcard:

1. Run a file system check (fsck) first:

fsck.ext3 -f /media/sdcard/image-full-clanton.ext3

2. Run resize2fs to resize the file system. The second argument (409600 in the example) specifies the new filesystem size in kilobytes:

resize2fs /media/sdcard/image-full-clanton.ext3 409600

 If it doesn't work, look for how to shrink yocto linux image.

I also found Gparted which seems to be able to shrink SD card image.
