It seems that there is no manual available for CP-535. I ll ask for this in the Technical Support. Hope the will find a soft copy of this. |

Here is what I have done to resolve the issue: 1. All the problems encountered with connecting to CPUs and CPs seems that are associated with the usage of virtual com ports instead of native com ports. At this point I realized that the best option is the second one. Thus it is a good practice to use a pc with windows xp as a host and the pc must have an embedded and native serial port. 2. I tried to purchase several adapters that were pretty much expensive but what was actually needed was a simple cable PC-TTY as the attached in the picture. You can find it easily in the ebay or you can build it by your own if you purchase the parts attached in this post. 3. Considering several posts I went through the troubleshooting process of using a multimeter to check how the adapter works. This specific adapter includes an active circuit that needs to be power supplied with 5V. 4. In several CPUs this power supply is provided between pin 3 and 5 of db15 programming cable. On the other side in the cp535 programming physical interface does not have a 5V voltage at this pins so you need to provide it manually. What I did, was to take a usb cable (only the PS cables, i.e. red and black) and solder in the adaptor I purchased. The result was amazing! 5. In the programming environment of com535 it seems that the software when you start it looks for the availability of com port 1. If this port is taken/used by another application or s5 cpu project set menu then establishment of communication with the cp535 is not feasible. Thus you have to release it or set in the s5 cpu project set menu another port (ex. com3:) and then start again the com535 package. Many thanks to all members of this forum from which after collecting several contributions and info I manage to compile them and give a solution to my problem. For any further question please PM to me. AttachmentLayoutCable.pdf (395 Downloads) |
