Trying to reset some rf240r modules - receive an error and a status with: 0xE7FE08 Timeout during "INIT"

Hi experts!

I have a grid with some RF240R connected to a RF180C interface modules. This modules are conected to a sclance managed switch and finaly to a S7-1516 PLC.

RF180C are conected in series (power and profinet).

All modules are configured with a specific device name and IP adress.

In topology network, on TIA portal professional V15, all modules are in a green state (with comunication).

After program some "reset_rf200_DB" from Simatic Ident, I've tried to reset some rf240r modules.

For the first modules, conected to the first RF180C after PLC (on the profinet grid), I was successefull. For the next ones after a busy state I receive an error and a status with:
• 0xE7FE08 Timeout during "INIT" (60 seconds according to "TC3WG9")

Anyone knows why this happen?

Thank you for your questions.

In RF180C I've configured only the profinet ports.

The addressing on TIA V15 is made using -» "Technology objects" -»"Add new object" -» "SIMATIC Ident" -» "TO_Ident"

Then I chose the "Ident Device" and "Channel" and an automatic block is generated.

I use this block to adress the RFID device on reset block.

Did you succeed to solve this issue.?We have exactly the same however with V14-SP1 and V5.0 IDENT.

Indeed  HW-ID adressing issue. However caused by TIA.

Now the remedy:

If this happens to you then perform the following steps:

1) exclude the call of the IDENT blocks from the programming (RESET, READ, WRITE etc)

2) Delete your TECH objects DB's from the project

3) Delete the RFID  devices from the Device configuration (Hardware config)

4) Compile ALL

5) Add the RFID devices in the HW config again

6) Add the Tech object DB's again 

7) Compile ALL

8) Download and test the PN connection

9) Restore the call of the IDENT blocks to your program again.

HW-id is something performed by TIA itself. As a programmer we have no influence on that. Also the connection with the IDENT calls now is done by the TECH object.

Probable reason is that TIA internally HW-id's get mixed up in case you prepare at the office your configuration and later you will add or update your HW devices again on-site.
