WarnAct output of MotorL

Hi experts,

I would wonder how to use output of MotorL WarnAct in Local mode.

In my understanding, WarnAct=1 in Prewarning time for motor start active, but it still = 0 when MotorL starts running. Is it working in Local mode?

I'd already set WarnTiMa or WarnTiAu for seconds.

Please give me some advice.

Hi,

The warning times could only be set in manual and automatic mode AND when using a "Large" block.

 Thanks. I have to set pre-warning time in local mode manually.

Yes, WarnAct does not work in local mode. You can make a simple function: Give a start signal locally, which you connect to ExtMsg01 to trigger a message (which you can define yourself) and connect to a timerp block, where after a delay time (On-delay), you give the motor the actual start signal. 

 oh, I simply make a delay time before starting actual motor, a start signal locally to activate pre-warning, and deactivate by pulse down of running signal from motor

i've never ever use ExtMsg01 before, could you please advise how to rigger a message (which you can define yourself), i checked Process Control System PCS 7 PCS 7 Advanced Process Library V8.0 but cant find the answer
