PC VISU SYSTEM FI 15

Dear All,

Simatic PC VISU SYSTEM FI 15 is installed with profibus communication.

Can we replace it with normal PC? If yes please suggest what hardware do we need?

If you need profibus communication, then your PC requires a special communication port for profibus. Normal PC's usually don't have that interface and do only provide an Ethernet (RJ45) interface. For that you need an additional communication processor (CP), i.e. CP 5711, see for example

Despite of the interface - I would recommend to use an Industrial PC (IPC), if you want to use it in an industrial production environment.
