Hello Rusbi; You seem to have understood the basic linear conversion provided by FC105 "SCALE". All analog input channels, whether they are connected to current, voltage, resistance... sensors, whatever their resolution (12-bit, 15-bit p+ sign...) will transfer a value to the CPU either 0 to 24768 (for unipolar, unsigned values) or -27648 to +27648 (for bipolar, signed values) corresponding to the input value in mA or V. FC105 scales (transforms) these numerical values using a linear calculation (y=mx+b); the parameters LO_LIMIT and HI_LIMIT simply establish the range of the engineering values you want to use in your program (temperature, pressure, weight...). As you stated, simply chose the adequate limits for each use of FC105 to obtain the correct engineering values corresponding to your analog inputs. This FAQ should give you more details: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/1765297 Hope this helps, |
