Sorry, just one more question while we are on this topic Would you say it is bad programming practice to have one line of code where multiple memory bits controls one physical PLC output? I have attached an example to show what I mean. For example, I split my program operations into separate FC's (e.g. function 1, 2, 3 and 4) and call them individually when I want to perform their logic. I want to switch the same output on at some point from each individual FC which will not be called at the same time. This output could an indication lamp on operator panel for example. So if I set a different memory flag high in each function and then create a separate FC just to map the memory bits to the physical output address, is this acceptable or confusing for someone looking at my code?
