MANISH CHOUDHARI Bronze Member Joined: 5/22/2010 Last visit: 6/15/2024 Posts: 97 Rating: (2)	Dear sir I am using 417-4H in my project with CP 443-1 I am getting contineuous Blinking BUS2F , Steady REDF fault on both Master-Slave Sir I tried to removed these faults but failed Would you Please explain me what is mean BUS2F , REDF and How I removed. Thanks in Advance.

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 11/12/2024 Posts: 12293 Rating: (2691)	Hello manu; The tables you will find in the attachment are extracted from this manual, which you should keep with you if you are troubleshooting a S7-400H system: SIMATIC Fault-tolerant systems S7-400H At first glance you seem to have lost communcations redundancy at the level of a Profibus-DP/Profinet-IO slave . Open your diagnostic buffer to identify the failing station and check it out properly.If entries in the diagnostic buffer are not clear to you, you can save it ("As Text") and post it here on the forum as an attachment so we may look at it and help you do the diagnostics on your system. mms suresh Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	dear manu, Bus 2 Fault : Bus fault at PROFIBUS DP interface, so you have to check your Profibus cables,profibus conector, and Interface modules. Redf : When the both cpu is not communicating together Redundant fault will come so , kindly check your Optical cables between two cpus. with regards, sureshkumar.p

sp88 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	hello is there ny way if there is a BUS2F led blinking on Plc and almost all the profibus connector found faulty and i dont have profibus connector in spare........is there any other way????

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 11/12/2024 Posts: 12293 Rating: (2691)	Hello sp88; If you want to remove the diagnostic LED BUSF2 then the only permanent way is to have a healthy network. If you want to remove it temporarily I would suggest: -remove the Profibus network entirely from the HWConfig editor until you can do repairs on the Profibus-DP connectors (by the way when you say they are defective, do you mean they have been wired incorrectly by the installation personnel? If they are certified Profibus cionnectors I find it hard to believe they could all be "defective" at any one time. Rewiring them should not be a very long job). -Use SFB12 to deactivate the Profibus-DP slaves in your HWConfig editor one at a time so the master interface does not poll them, so they BUSF2 LED is not activated, Notes for the use of the system function SFC12 "D_ACT_DP" Enabling a disabled DP slave with SFC 12 "D_ACT_DP" What should you pay attention to when operating a DP slave temporarily on a PROFIBUS DP network? But solving my problem by removing power from the IM module that's connected to bus 2 and then returned it again. but this is temporary solution because the problem come back after 2 or 3 days. Please note that i changed the IM module with a new one and also changed the backplane for this rack.
