alarm_8p and technological blocks

Hi,

Is it possible to link alarm_8p to a technological block (i.e. MonAnL). The current program Im developing requires around 5 more alarms that have to be linked somehow to MonAnL block.

Since events will only allow to configure 3 external messages, I'm thinking of using the alarm_8p block.

alarm_8p block is already working in my program and is showing the message I have configured, but since the messages at alarm_8p block is also for the analog value I'm monitoring, the MonAnL block must also show the alarms.

it isn't possible to generate more than the 3 external message for the MonAnL block otherwise you must add the Alarm_8P in the source code from MonAnL.

But there is an other opportunity to generate the messages from the MonAnL block. You can use the associated values to integrating texts from text libraries into messages.
The instruction you can find in the manual SIMATIC Programming with STEP 7 in section 16.4.2.

You can use the EventTs function block from the APL library which can create up to 8 messages, and link it to the EventTs parameter of your MonAnL block. Then you'll see the messages inside the alarm view of the MonAnL block.
