Hello all.drv; This link can provide basic information on WinCC variants: https://new.siemens.com/global/en/products/automation/simatic-hmi/hmi-software.html Siemens developped WinCc "classic" as their original SCADA system, to work with Step 7 v5.x and S7-300, S7-400 and S7-400H systems. Siemens introduced TIA Portal at a later date, when they developped S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLCs, with a new line of associated operator panels (Basic and Comfort). WinCC Tia Portal (v.15.x now) was introduced at that time, with different levels of application for different types of panels, or PC-based SCADAs. So yes you must be careful of the hardware you connect to and the programming environment you use when discussing a variant of WinCC. Hope this helps, |
