Logo project stolen by hackers , how to proceed?

I have developed a big project for big home automation and alarm system.

the project is based with 2 Logo full expanded I/O in network and with a CMR2040 LTE for remote control.

The client will not pay the all 5 months work with Invoice and have committed 2 hackers to change the all admin password and use my proprietary software.

after 20 days I can still  connecting in remote on this 3 plc but without login because the administrator password is changed!

how is possible that hackers can change passwords and copy all my project?

im sorry if this trehad is not correct but I need to know more about stolen my project.

Siemens give also protection on copyright and how to proceed legally by law?

It will be always a problem, if a password is hacked and ideas are stolen. That seems to be normal today. If you have a valid contract, you can clarify it by a court.

Why don't you have any money from your client after 5 months of work ? Maybe it was a private project without contract ? Then you only can argue that you are the holder of a copyright, but this is the same way to clarify by a court.

is a long story .. do you want to laugh?  The client sued me and I am under investigation in court because I do not continue to work for this client and I do not start to automate a new residence.

 If I want to recover my money I have to keep working without having guarantees of when I will be paid!  

Obviously I refused, canceling the utilities and license to use Plc until I was paid.  the client preferred to call hakers and change the 3 plc and 2 ubiquiti server administrator accounts ... we will see how it ends up...

im still the super administrator of all and they now continue use my software and administrator account, just by cracking my password and iCloud account.

We can ask up to 10 or 20 million ticket,this because my software and iCloud is share with a USA COMPANY http://www.directionalenergy.com/ 

more the shared account is high value, more is high the ticket, American company and law have more power to probe all!

for this reason I’m asking now the Siemens support, to get more value of my projects and more copyright owner probe.

The client buy direct the all plc logo with invoice and now pretend that the software developed and installed on his device is his full propriety !

I hoop you have a detailed contract, other wise  i think you are at the wrong side and lost all ....

Always make a contract for all your jobs, it is also to your client more proffesional.

I am afraid that the way you want to go to find your expenses, you will spend only more. You can declare to be the develope/design owner  by law, but at court they will ask about your contract with the client to prove that they asked you to design for them.

About the LOGO! PLC the password protection is only basic, this is simular with other smaller PLC'S like the melsec serie.

It is realy not difficult to find the password, .... a simple google checkup about this subject gives answers.

FYI the PLC does not check the PW that is done by the SW, so the PLC needs to send it up on request from the SW.

I do not call my self a hacker but finding the password just takes a few seconds.

about my client, I have a offer contract for the WiFi and cameras network ubiquiti, after this I have also developed the whole residence automation and print every months The invoices, client registered it.

in this case I think to have good possibility to the curt.

at this point I don’t have nothing to lose, I have recorded a video how to login to the all server and plc, to shown to the curt.

if for you is so very simple to hackers the password , please contact me in privat and I give you the IP address to login on first Logo, change the password and send me.

Hi Domenik, i understand your frustation with this client. But i can not involve me in your legal conflict, this to avoid legal problems for me. If you have this information you do make a change, but knowing the italian court system it will take some time. And realy next time put every item in a contract and use a part payment sytem based on completing phase of  the project. on this way only a few precent are outstanding when you demonstrate the end.

If you still have access to the network like you say, i can only hint you in the direction to search google..........and use the same google to translate russian ., here you will find explanation how sniffers work.........

As i told you i am not a hacker, i am a developer myself but also a end user from existing systems.

With most of my supliers i have a good work relation and i have their full password or password generator (S7-300 etc.) . in all cases i respect their design and rights and allow them to make money from any change that is required. I prefer to respect in two directions, because when i need them they are ready for me.

In a very few projects or the maker stopped existing or where not interesed to support, in these cases i was forced to checkup my self the password ( 3 times until now).

I do use the trick often because it is faster then checking up the list of password that i have from all projects......and my mind can not rember all .....

P.S. I do not know the person that did the PLC installation job (as shown on the photo), but i accept that level only as testing phas , i have send persons home for less, the way the PLC is wired up is not professional.

from my understanding everything you do to get connected to LOGO! may be illegal.

But as you wrote they use your account. Change your account and this feature will not work anymore.

For the next project (please correct me if I'm wrong) in LOGO! you can use copy protection and protect in this way your program code against multiplication. Up to now have not read any information that some has hacked the copy protection.
For this feature you have to add a MSD-card into each LOGO!. Then on LOGO! BM use the menu to enable copy protection of the plugged-in card. Now copy the program from LOGO! to the MSD-card, delete the program in LOGO! BM and repower. Now your program is copy protected. This means no one can readout (upload) the program from LOGO! or the MSD-card. If the MSD-card is plugged out, then LOGO! internally delete the program and doesn't work anymore.
If the protected MSD-card is copied by a PC and a copy is plugged into a LOGO!, then this LOGO! cannot read the program.
But you also cannot modify the program anymore. Without a LOGO! Soft Comfort copy of the program you also lost it.
You can also configure a PW for the program and later configure copy protection. But here as I understand if anyone can "hack" the PW, then he also get access to the program. This is off course not legal, but if your customer doesn't care what will you do else?
