How to use limits to log only one data?

Hai wizard,

I am new to Siemens.

As per your last reply I used bool it is working.

But 2 data s are logging.

Can please explain me how to use limits to log only one data.

If you can share me some screenshots it will be much helpful for me.

either you use Adam's "high limit event"-solution or you call a script when the boolean tag changes. In the script you check the value of the tag and execute the log-command only when tag = TRUE.

i had same situation. I needed to log tag on demand. It works with boolean tag but i have two same logs, when you have many of tags this is not acceptable.

I was trying to use script etc nothing works. Then i made such thing:

- instead using boolean use INT;  make a code when this value is changing then log Your tag

------------------------------------------------------------------------

STL:

A M20.0 // trigger

FP M20.1 // rise edge

jcn et1   // jump conditional

L db50.DBW50 // variable type INT

L 1

+1  // increasing by 1 every time when triger is detected

T db50.DBW50

et1: NOP 0 // end

Then use this data DB50.DBW50 in WinCC flexible ----> Tag properties ---> Logging ---> On demand and also Events----> Change value----> Log Tag XXXX

It works for me and log just once. You just need to remember when value exceed limit of type of variable You will need to make 0 to start from begining.
