AS-network diagnostics - CP 343-2 (3RK1402)?

From your description it would seem that you are right in thinking the A-i slave address of the slaves is not recognized by the master. What method do you use to set the address on the As-i modules, an As-i addressing tool (see the link below) or the CP 342-2 addressing commands? I would recommend checking the As-i master to see if there is any limitation configured there, or the As-i slave addressing method.

You do know that using a CP 343-2 allows you to implement As-i diagnostics, via OB 82? It will show As-i modules that are not present (or missing) in the master's configuration, and possibly some hints to restore them.

from the part number I can see you have an older model of ASI Master.

Please make sure that after you address all the salves and check that the ASI power and any

auxiliary power is connected correctly.

1)Place the PLC in stop mode.

2)Set ASi Master to Configuration Mode and let the Master scan the ASI Network.

you should see the corresponding ASI address light  on the Master.

3.) Set ASi Master back to run mode and restart PLC.

You can also find this procedure in your ASI Master Manual.

I would recommend checking the As-i master to see if there is any limitation configured there, or the As-i slave addressing method.

How can i check it? In Step7 (HW Config) CP343-2 inserted and read / write 16 bytes. (attached)

AS-i master v2.x doesn't have much you can configure in the HW. From AS-i v3.x -> there is more you can configure. Then there is also a "better" version of AS-i master 6GK7343-2AH11-0XA0, where you do internally the whole AS-i network configuration.

What is the AS-i version of the new AS-i slaves? If they are V3.x, then there is a compatibility issue with the master. Even though the documentation declares that the new modules are downwards compatible with the older AS-i master versions, they might cause problems.

AS-i master v2.x doesn't have much you can configure in the HW. From AS-i v3.x -> there is more you can configure. Then there is also a "better" version of AS-i master 6GK7343-2AH11-0XA0, where you do internally the whole AS-i network configuration.

 Unfortunately I only have 6GK7343-2AH00-0XA0 and i have to use it.

 The versions should be printed in the side of the module. I just had a look at the datasheet of the module, and it's an old module, that has been phased out already. It's a standard slave, so it's not v3.x.
