I have the same problem using virtual machines. I duplicate my VM, in one I started the multi user server, on the other I tried to connect. No way, even if the user and the name of the computer should be the same due to the virtual machine duplication! I tried disabling UAC and firewall also... If I run the MUserver on a domain computer everything works, even connecting from outside the domain. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Why do I have to add my VM to the domain? I need it out of the domain! |

With the server installed on a domain PC and the client out of the domain everything worked immediatly, so I have never thought to ping mutually. The problem I was talking about is when both machines are out of the domain: I need to install the server on an out of domain PC! Workgroup PC to workgroup PC is not working by me. I create the user and I did everything like described in the manual https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/109740141/109740141_MultiUser_Engineering_DOC_v14_en.pdf Ping is working in both directions.
