Hello laurens, I'm glad you find a way to make it working. Based on what you have said, I would check whether Sentron Profinet Interface (7KM9300-0AE01-0AA0) has a same firmware online and offline version. Same is valid for Sentron itself. Check inside Online&Diagnostic once you are online whether versions match. In a case they are not you need to download Powerconfig from here, free Siemens software. From Powerconfig you can upgrade/downgrade firmware versions of Sentron AND/OR its profinet interface as well. YOu can also monitor measuring values, basically everything and not just with Sentron, it works the same for all related devices so I recommend it regardless of your firmware state. Overthere you can update your Firmware Version V2.1.4 for the expansion module Switched Ethernet PROFINET I also attach document guideline how to update firmware from power config. Powerfactor.... Check is this value (DW#16#FFFF_FFFF) present on device itself, in PLC and inside powerconfig as well. What is your method to read from hardware configuration inputs. With RDREC or? Couple of things are important when it comes Sentron Pac and Power factor. First of all in order any device can measure power factor you need to inject current and voltage in same time. Formula for powerfactor is
P -> Active Power S -> Apparent power Q-> Reactive power Means you need to current and voltage. If you inject just voltage or current you will get DW#16#FFFF_FFFF or NaN, not a number. It is also very important to mention that Sentron will always give you positive powerfactor, even on its display, So inside program you will have to multiply value with -1.0 regardless of Q measurement. Can you check is that DW#16#FFFF_FFFF just in user program(your program) or it is on device display as well, once you install powerconfig check measurements inside too. Anyway I just want to tell you that in a case firmware versions are ok and GSDML file is latest, and your input reading address are correct, there should be no DW#16#FFFF_FFFF in a case you inject currents and voltage in a same time.
