Yes you can't have an effect in two matrices. This is logical because how could you have two different safety commands to the same output?, just the same as you can't have two standard channel drivers (e.g. for motors) that hit the same output. So if you have some complicated logic in one matrix that needs to trip an effect in another matrix, you can use the effect set up as external connection in the first matrix and take it in as a cause to the second matrix and then trip the output from that cause in addition to the other trips. Note that cascading matrices in this style, you have to be careful of additional time delay response and be certain it is acceptable to your safety design. |
