OS project missing after retriving MP

HI All,

I retrieved project MP of PCS7V9 and OS project is missing. Project was retrieved on the copy of virtual machine where was archived. Please have a look on the attachment. There is unspecified error.

it seems like your project get damaged during the archiving process / retrieving process.

Do you have the original ES VM with the project ?

Yes, I have but computer with this project is in other country and there is no way that some one can send it to me. I prepare project in simulation system and copy to my laptop so I can use it on site.

There is any way that i can fix it?

I have a suggestion here. 

1. Get the installed software of the stations that are working. Start->all program-> siemens Automation->inst. Software

2. Get the system information export, run -> msinfo32.exe

3. Don't know the attached little tools helpful or not. Just for your extra info, the process running in the background. 

After you got all the system information and installed software, compared it with your local station. Make sure you are using the same pcs 7 versions. Then system information of the station can be a reference, as the setting of the language, region.

What do you mean by "OS Project missing"?

Bcoz, I can see a "WinCC application" -OS station(Unconfigured state) on your picture.

But, the Error on the pop-up is about PC station configuration,

You are attempting to configure your OS station to particular PC station,

In this case, You please ensure your network adapter is enabled and running on your VM,

Also, Verify your "Station configuration editor" (Available on windows notifications taskbar).

It shouldn't be disabled, 

One more tip:

When you are copying a VM completely you will be having all those data exits on primary VM, 

In this case, you don't even need to retrieve a new backup, You can just open your last working project from the retrieved path. (Only possible if you haven't deleted before copying).
