Problem uploading Log-data by gsm

Bij Gsm modem we want to upload the logfile (S7-200 explorer). The communication is ok: Up/downloading programm works, monitorring programm works etc. After some time de upload of the logfile is aborted. A pop-up screen says: "A serious error occurred during the last operation. The application should be closed and restarted". This Error comes on several PC's under Win2000,. Win Xp prof sp2. It seems er is something wrong in the remote PLC. On other times we can upload the file without any problem. anyone suggestions?

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, Basically it is not problem to upload the data log file via modem. If you can connect wiht microWIn then you can also upload the data log file. How long does it take to get the erroro message? Solutions: 1. I can remember years ago that after ~30/60 minutes modem automatocally disconnect. This is a feature of some modem to disconnect if the user forget it. If this is the case then have a look to the manual of the modem to get information how to disable this feature or set it to a longer time. 2. If this is not the case, then go to the station and try to upload the data log file via PPI cable. If you get the same error then the mem ory card may be damadged. It is possible to damage the card in a shor period of time if you exite the max. numbers of write cycles (100.000 time). If this is the case then replace the card and change your program to reduce the numbers of write cycles to the card. 3. Maybe the program was downloaded to the PLC with a newer version of STEP7 Micro/WIN. If this is the case then install the latest Service PAck for Micro/WIN. PC and PLC stay connected. @2 This may be the problem, we will investigate this. All the hardware in the remote station has been replaced but I am not sure about the MemoryCard. @3 We have the latest version of Step7-MicroWin.
