Hello Nadjim; Open the CPU properties (right-click on the CPU in the simulated rack) in HWConfig, then look at the contents of the Memory tab. You will see a view that resembles what you see in the screenshot below (a CPU 318-2DP uses the same memory standards as a S7-400 PLC), and you can deduce where your bottleneck is located. Note that there is always a minimum of RAM for load memory in a S7-400 CPU, and that is filled up quite quickly, then the EPROM load memory takes over. This is where you must verify the percentage of use for load memory. If the bottleneck is in load memory, you can always buy a larger RAM or flash EPROM memory card to extend the load memory area. If the bottleneck is in work memory, then you would have to upgrade your PLC with larger memory specs, or work hard to optimize the code you are using and reduce its size. hello, Thanks for your help. I just read this document : https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/23670531 and I was wondering how to save or download the changes made to my program without risk of erasing everything on the flash memory card ?? Thank you |
