How to use the IOT 2040?

RogerBRO Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hello guys, I am looking for a way to read data from the PLC and send it to the cloud. I want to make a structure that sends data ( ex:"upon change") in the cloud, and i dont need the WinCC. My PLC's are conected with Profinet. I was thinking to use an Raspberry Pi or an IOT 2040, with linux, but i dont know how to read the data, from the PLC's, whitch is already in the network. Has any of you done such a job? I have an S7 1500 series, and an S7 1200 series. Could anyone help me, please?

Unfortunately there is no possibilty yet to collect data via Profinet, but with the IOT2000 you can use for example node-red to collect data from Siemens PLCs. There is an application example how to read out data via S7 protocol from S7-1200/S7-1500. To which cloud do you want to send the data? Best regards!
