TIA Portal 15.1 Up2 PLCSIM crashing

RoundTriangle Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Hey Siemens-Forum I use a VM with TIA Portal on it. Always when i want to open the installed PLCSIM the program crashed(not responding) I have installed all the Updates as well support packages. unfortunately there was no Update for the PLCSIM yet. Is there a way to fix it? Is it already known? kind regards RoundTriangle Edit: It it not really crashing . It stopped working and giving no response.. so there is not a crashlog - It is the normal PLCSIM NOT the Advanced one. - I start the SIM via the Shortcut in the TIA Portal. The Window is opening , but not responding. Installed: Version V15.1 Up2 , Release V.15.01.00.01_02.00.54.01 as well: Version 5.4 + SP8 Release V05.04.08.01_01.24.00.01

Still after start the PLCSIM is not responding. I have the installed the Version V15.1 Up2 , Release V.15.01.00.01_02.00.54.01 aswell the previous one is named on the installed software List Version 5.4 + SP8 Release V05.04.08.01_01.24.00.01 I use it in my Company. Its not cracked.

After nearly 1h in this " not responding" mode, the PLCSIM finally opened completely and correctly. This loading takes so long because i am using a Win7 VM with 3GB RAM and not 50GB of free space. see here (https://w3.siemens.com/mcms/automation-software/de/tia-portal-software/step7-tia-portal/step7-professional/tabcards/seiten/system-requirements.aspx) But thank you for your help! kohhal Advanced Member Joined: 4/6/2016 Last visit: 5/7/2024 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	I had a similar problem, thought it might be HD space but not so. I had to increase my core processors from 1 to 4 and this solved the problem on my Win10 VM.
