Dear colleagues, In this simple example I am going to show you how to extend your simulation models with visualization of the filling procedure. This example shows the visualization only. In the production flow the cans are filled with the water. Water stream and water surface are presented as two rigid cylinders. The top face of the water surface cylinder was tuned using I-Form functionality of NX. Hidden lines are used as a collision sensors. The model is powered by operations. Filling process description: Filling procedure of the empty can starts with the creation of a new water stream object using object source. In the next phase the object is dynamically attached to the fixed joint. Cylindrical joint is used to visualize the change of the water level. Water surface object is attached to this joint. Two speed control actuators are attached to linear and rotary components of the cylindrical joint. Speed control actuators regulate the filling speed. When the water surfaces cylinder reaches its top position, the empty can, water stream as well as water surface are removed from the simulation using object sink. Filled can is inserted to the simulation using object source. After this step the new iteration starts. Please, use the attached NX MCD project for self-study.
