Connecting One HMI to Two PLCs

Hello,

I have two separate systems that consist of:

TP900 Comfort HMI connected to S7-1511F-1 PN CPU.

The two systems are working independently, running different software and have different SCADA screens etc but using the same network/same subnet.

I want to add a 3rd HMI that shows both systems - Is it possible to connect both PLCs to one TP900 Comfort HMI so that the operator can select between the two different SCADA screens?

 When I add a new connection, the "Station", "Partner" and "Node" columns are greyed out...

Any ideas why? I've connected the HMI to both PLCs in the "Devices and networks" setup.

Yes it is possible. Just add a connection for wach PLC in your HMI and create the screens, tags, etc. you need for your Project. 

 Is there any way to load two different HMI projects into the HMI at the same time and then when it starts up, select which one I would like to load up?

I doubt it is possible but I thought I would ask before I go ahead and merge the two existing HMI projects that I have into one HMI project (copy over all tags/ screen/ scripts etc)

Yes, you are welcome. And yes this is the right way.

on panels you can have only one hmi project at once. So it's not possible to switch between applications.
