Route Control seperate server

Hello guys,

We have a customer with a Route Control server working on a OS server. The load is very high and the customers want to have a seperate Route Control server apart from the OS station.

How do you configure this in the PC station configuration? Do I need only Route Control server application? Or do I need to add WinCC application as well? This is not clearly defined in the manual, because in the manual the RC server is part of the OS station.

How is the server activated? Or doesn't it enter WinCC runtime?

You shouldn't install WinCC on the RC Server for stand-alone RC Server as you are describing.

You can set up startup based on the specifics of how you will operate the servers based on Chapter 15.7.6 of the manual (Manual Section 15.7.6).  I expect you want to use service mode so you don't have to manually start it manually each time.
