1-3.6V analog input sensor

Dear Experts 

We are considering S7-1200 to replace a microcontroller 

Humidity sensor used is 1-3.6V as attached 

Is it possible to be connected to the built in 0-10V analog input port in 1212/1214 CPUs ?

Sure.  Use NORM_X and SCALE_X to normalize and scale the analog input to the correct %RH over the linear range, and note it is >95% or <5% when outside the spec sheet's linear range.

so the NORM_X max value should be changed from 27648 to reduced value as folow : 
3.6V/10V * 27648 = 9953 ?

is that correct ?

From 1V to 3.6V it's more or less 20% of the 12 bit adc converter. More or less 1640 points of definition.

The PLC it's much slower than an microcontroller and you must consider that if you have to implement some process control you can lose performance.

After say that, if for you this is ok. can be done.

Don't forget that your sensors supply voltage is 5V so you must have powered this sensor with 5 VDC and later connect both 24V DC (PLC supply) and 5V DC Groud's to same point, then system will work correctly

i used the 4 analog inputs module which has internal option of +/- 5V

so used the range +5V which gave better resoultion
