Hello everyone,

I'm trying to merge 2 subnets in the same OPC to pull data from S7 300 controllers installed in these subnets. I already have SIMATIC NET OPC server installed in the PC, it is already communicating with one of the subnets and it has been working fine for the last few months. Now i'm trying to add another subnet to the same OPC server which has an S300 PLC, the PC has 3 different NICs, in SIMATIC NET one of them is already in configured mode and is showing as IE general index 1 in  the station configuration app, station configuration app also shows OPC server as index 2, the problem comes when i try to switch the second NIC to configured mode. My first thought was to change the second NIC to configured mode and assign index 3 and use this as my interface for the second subnet problem is SIMATIC NET won't let me change the second NIC to configured mode, it displays an error that says: "The maximum number of the component type of the component with index 3 was exceeded", now i'm asking myself if what I'm trying to do is possible.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Any idea is appreciated.

Does this work if you configurate two network cards on in subnet 1 the other in subnet 2 and bridge the network cards in windows? Subnet off both must be in the same range though!

192.168.1.1-124 subnet 1

192.168.2.125-254 subnet 2

or a nat routing between those two?

Yes this is also my suggestion

try to configure two IE general Network adapters one to each subnet.

I tried to configure the second network card as a IE General nut it seems that SIMATIC net can only have one of them at the same time. 0__0's suggestion won't work because i need to keep the IP ranges on both subnets.

I will look into NAT 1:1 and see if this might work.

Any other suggestion?.

I just wanted to let you know how this problem was solved, at the end NAT 1:1 was the best solution. I used a MOXA EDR 810 switch to configure the NAT.
