Hello Design Tech, May I know how do you resolve your adc/dac fault? My hardware 138-7FA00-0AB0 is having exactly the same faults and I have done a lot of things but could not resolve the issue. These are the trial that we have tried. 1. removed the field cables. The ADC/DAC faults remained. 2. removed the power by removing the module from the slot and insert it again. The module went to green color for a few seconds, then went red color. The ADC/DAC faults remained. 3. replace the modules in that particular slot with a new one, configured the Dip switch correctly based on the previous configuration. The module went to green color for a few seconds, then went red color. The ADC/DAC faults remained. 4. Full hardware download and full chart download on the previous projects that were backup before full download of new projects. The ADC/DAC faults still remained. 5. Off the power for the IM152 and turn on again. The result is the same. 6. Switch the active Master for IM152 and check, the result is the same. 7. Injected 4-20 mA to the faulty slot, but no response. Inject 4-20mA to the good slot, no issue. Thanks for helping, any support is welcomed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi All, We have resolved our IM152 ADC/DAC issue. There is a procedure to resolve the issue. 1. Initial condition: The IM152 and the modules are in powered. 2. Then, REMOVE all the field cables in the ADC/DAC faulty modules. 3. Then, power off the module by dismantle the modules. 4. Then, insert the modules again. The issue was resolved. 5. Then, measure the field cable to ensure no power supply from the field cables if 2DMU is configured. If the transducer/sensor has its own power supply, it may burn ADC input resistor or sensor. 6. Insert the field cables one channel by one channel to see the fault remained. Thank you Aret~ |

Closed cause question posted twice. The second thread with the subject 138-7FA00-0AB0 ADC/DAC Fault is published within the conference Decentral Peripherie. Best regards Jen_Moderator |
