Please check the File DOTS00.RC1. I think this file is "read-only" ! Do you have copy this File/Files from CD-Rom to Disc:C ? (On CD-Rom Files are "read-only" ) You must change the State to full access. Select Path and remove the read-only selektor.

(I'm german and i have an german Win XP) As example: Serch with "File-Exlorer" the File DOT00.RC1. Select the File, then push the right Mousbutton. Now you have a droop-down-menue. The last name is "Eigenschaften in Germany" lock at file-info or so. Select it. Now you can deselect the "read-only" from the file. Please check this. This you can make with komplett paths too. I hope you know what i mean.

Listen I checked all the files forDOTS00.RC1/2/3 and all of the do not have the option "read only" O.K. I see it. You are the owner from your File ? Please check this. Change your File-View to detail. Go on the TOP (You can read Name, Size, Type . . .) Push the rigth button from the mouse. Select view ""owner" or so. Which System do you have ? Work this before ? (I this the first that you testet ? )

XP home or professional ? owner --> you have make a File, you are the owner, other People from you system don't can change your file. This are only in WinXP pro.
