2 CP343 with CPU315 2DP

seppe.meeus Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a problem configuring the hardware of my PLC. I have a CPU315-2DP installed with some I/O modules and one CP343 for communication over ethernet. Now I want to install a second CP, also a CP343 for communication over ethernet, but another network than the first one. For doing this, should I first download the HW-config and network settings to the CPU before mounting the second CP onto the rack, because otherwise I guess the CPU does'nt know wich CP he has to communicate to for connecting to PG? thx for the help, seppe

Then when I turned the power back on it was impossible to get connection with the CPU via thefirst CP wich was already mounted and present in the configuration. Could it be thatI should try to connect to the CPU via MPI to download hardware config and netw settings? king regards, Seppe

As long as they will belong to different networks there will be no problems at all. So use MPI, download config as UMENCHO said and use two CPs on the different networks.
