I am contacting you because I am facing a problem: On a 6ED1 052-1MD00-OBA7 I have a tde logo screen connected to it on the left of the PLC and plugs into the screen with an rs232 connector. I would like to be able to connect a wifi bridge to the PLC and thus have the information displayed on a remote tde logo screen 15-20m from the PLC.the client lives far away and I would like to have the information before going to do the tests.. Is it possible to have the screen data on the rj45 port? if this is not possible I will try to transfer the data sent by the rs232 cable... thank you in advance

ixo65 Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 11/7/2024 Posts: 34158 Rating: (4254)	I would not be aware of any possibility of outputting the message texts on the Ethernet port on a 0BA7. The firmware is not designed for this. Instead of a TDE, however, you can connect a small SIMATIC HMI panel (e.g. a KTP300) to the Ethernet port. In addition, only a TD (not TDE) can be connected to the left connection of the 0BA7.

Ameux Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Thank you! Yes of course it's a connected td and not a tde, I was wrong. In fact the purpose of the operation is to have remote access to the logo. On an oba1 I created a wifi bridge and on the other side of the bridge I connected a tde to it and it works. It allows me to modify the logo parameters remotely. Do you have any idea or can I do the same as with oba1?

ixo65 Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 11/7/2024 Posts: 34158 Rating: (4254)	A LOGO! 0BA7 cannot communicate with a TDE. The firmware of the 0BA7 is not designed for this. That's why I recommended the KTP300 (or similar) to you.

If your TD is defective and you don't want to buy a spare part TD, what want you make then? Is think, the only way is to buy a KTP300 or other HMI. Or you change your 0BA7 to a 0BA8 starter kit with a TDE (or starter kit with KTP300). If you buy a starter kit with KTP300 then the programming software WinCC basic for the HMI is with it.
