Backup Simotion C230-2 CPU

2) Question 2 is ,I tried to backup Simotion C230-2 CPU with Simatic manager V5.7 also. End up, after I check with my siemens supplier, I realized that I need to use another software OPC Scout.(My vendor's advise). After I search in Siemens forum, some experts mention other softwares like Simotion Scout V4.2, 3.2 ,etc.

Therefore, can any advise which software to use cos my company is planning to purchase the suitable software.

 Do you know what SIMOTION Scout will support the C230-2. ???

Hi,

for SIMOTION C230 you need SIMOTION Scout.
SIMOTION Scout TIA dosn't support    C230.

but if you don't have the SIMOTION Scout project is imposible to get a backup of the simotion.

Can I fully back up a Simotion C controller / MMC and the SIMODRIVE 611 drives using SIMOTION? or do i need to install Drive ES also?
