3 way valve control

I have a 3 way valve ,it is 4-20ma controlled using a PT100 for the temperature, there is also an external input for the set point , how would I program these to control this valve to open and close using a Step 5, 135 PLC .

firstly keep in mind that s5 is obsolete.....

anywhay .... if for some reason you need to use s5 you have to check your hardware.

You neeed processor and at least :

• a 4/20 analog output board for valve control
• a PT100 input board for temperature reading
• other I/O digital bord if there are other device (e.g. valve limit switch...)

you can have all info about s5 board in s5-135 system manual.

Then you have to write software...

your request is too vague and it is very difficult to give useful help.

A lot of info can be found in the s5-135 manual

Probably you have to use a pid block (see page376)
