Hi, I'm trying to connect to cpu 300 313C-2 DP using MPI. Cpu is new out of the box and requires memory card to work, but for now I don't have new memory card (its been ordered and now we are waiting to come) so I used a memory card from another cpu 300. When I try to scan network using accessible nodes( I tried with PG/PC interface is set to MPI and auto ) I can not see any node. But when i try with other cpu 300 (cpu 315) I can scan the mpi network. MPI to usb adapter which I am using is PC adapter usb 6ES7 972-0CB20-0XA0.

The error I got is "the bus parameters could not be determined because communication error ocurred"

What may be the problem here? Is it a memory card or something else?

I think you should delete data on this mmc or use a newer one. You can delete Data only with USB Prommer or a Field PG but never with a normal MMC Device of your PC.

Normally the PLC has MPI adress 2 after reset to factory settings. I think the PLC reads another configuration from the card. You can try other PG/PC Interface settings like automatic to get connection.

Thanks for the reply, when I try acccessible nodes without MMC in the cpu I can see that cpu with MPI address 2. The memory card is not empty it is from another cpu, I just borrowed it to try new cpu313.

When MMC card is inserted cpu313, SF led is continiously on, and the STOP led is blinking red.

I am still waiting for the new MMC, will I need to delete or reset new card when I want to use it in the cpu or it comes ready for use?

What should I do if I want to use "old" used MMC?

Like earlier mentioned, when you want to use the MMC from another CPU, you need to reset the MMC.

@edit: Normally a new MMC can be used without deleting or resetting. (But sometimes it is necessary )

Thanks for replying guys. What is the difference between deleting MMC and a reset MMC? I could only do the reset MMC because I don't have a usb prommer or a field PG.

Another thing that confuses me, the cpu 313C 2DP came with firmware v3.3.11. According the second link by the Towome I can't do the MMC reset by switching from STOP to MRES with this firmware?

So how can I do the MMC reset if not by switching stop/mres or using usb prommer/field PG
