You could also use Profibus-DP, if you are using it with remote IO stations. Simply use the S7 Protocol Suite channel in WinCC (either MPPI or Profibus) and reate your tags there. Port one is a MPI port, and the second port is a Profibus port. Yes, you can use port one (MPI) for WinCC communication and at the same time use port two (Profibus) as a Profibus master.
