313C CPU with CP342-5 Card as a slave

tomvarker Regular Member Joined: 6/27/2016 Last visit: 5/26/2023 Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, I am trying to create communications with a 313C PLC with a CP342-5 module set up as a slave, the master is an ABB PM864, Please see the attached screenshots. I can not establish communications with, I have checked configurations on both systems and all seems ok. I have had communications previously but i used a 315DP/PN PLC the PLC was assigned as a master. The main difference between the two configurations used is that I can not assign a master to the CP342-5 as it is on another system. Do I need to take anything special into Attachment 2.png (37 Downloads)

What I remember from my old prjs, only defined I/O table with correct data types and length, then correctly use DP_READ/WRITE instructions in my code with I/O buffer. Nothing special. Update: I expect same comm settings (speed, unique address, profile) for Profibus set to CP module. Update2: some Example which can be helpful to you: Configure S7-300 with CP 342-5 DP Master/Slave

Please find the attached print screen. The block appears to be functioning correctly with the done bit switch from 1 to 0 Attachment 1.png (27 Downloads)

Duris_I Diamond Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 6/5/2023 Posts: 9534 Rating: (746)	Hello, eeeehm you have some question? If your STATUS is 8180 it's Normal operation (Data transfer active). Check in your program (code) also ERROR output bit and STATUS value in this case, for future diagnostic. In other case check TIA help.
