Hello Ami39, at first welcome to the Forum. The statement "I have the same problem" is not helpful. What exactly do you have for a problem? Do you get error messages? If so, then take screenshots and / or upload the diagnostic file.

As your description lacks a bit of info I will try to give you some things to check and maybe you can better describe your system. For example you say that you have a Profibus configured. Can be that you have a bus fault, hence the CPU cannot read the data in the slave so it gets this error. You also did not mention if CPU goes to stop or not. Fix your network, carefully revise your program and read about error handling OB's. Maybe you can help us help you by describing better your system and post your diagnostic buffer. Regards, NastasaM

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 3/16/2025 Posts: 12344 Rating: (2707)	Hello Vahid; This could happen if the slaves that are on this Profibus network are all 3rd-party, non-Siemens slaves. And the way you integrate a non-Siemens Proifbus slave to the hardware configuration of a S7 CPU is through their gsd file. Unfortunately, the gsd file resides in the Step 7 installation (in the Step 7/ Projects,,, gsddata/gsd directory) and is not transferred to the PLC. So when you upload the program from the CPU, you do not have the gsd files that are needed for establishing the Profibus communications with the slaves.If there were some Soemens slaves they would appear on the netwpork, only the non-Siemens slaves would be missing. In your case, I have a feeling that there were none. Do you have access to the original project, or at least the programming PC where Step 7 was installed? Can you find the electrical drawings for the original project, they might give you some idea of the slaves in that network. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Meanwhile I have installed all the related gsd files and most of this slaves (ET200, Simodrive611, Moby I , ...) are used also in another machines and on those machines I could upload hw-config as well. Just the worst thing is that one KUKA robot (KRC1) is linked to this PLC by profibus (IM182-1 DP Slave PCI Card). I have also installed KR12210.gsd file but in those machines where I have such KUKA robot, after uploading to PC I can not see any profibus slaves in hw-config. Thanks.

I have found the krc12210.gsd file from gsd-db.com, a site I often check when I have trouble finding a specific gsd file, either an older version or no longer provided by the manufacturer. http://www.gsd-db.com/view.php?gsd=krc12210.gsd The screenshot below shows the initial lines of the gsd file, and states that it applies to an IM 182 with special code for the KUKA KR C1. To your knowledge, does your IM 182-1 fulfill this condition? The document provides a support link from kuka-roboter.de to troubleshoot such problems.
